About Us:
Our purpose is to disciple men to further the efforts of evangelism and church ministry. Men have an important role and calling to share, teach, and preach the saving Gospel to others. Our Reaching/Teaching Others will get into the various roles of fathers and mothers, husbands and wives, older women and younger women, and children have in the ministry. We pray that the Lord will bless this ministry and our evangelism efforts. There are three words that describe our ministry best. We are evangelical, biblical, and confessional.
We are evangelical because it is by faith in the forgiveness of sins of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that we can be saved. It is through the Holy Spirit that we believe and are enlightened with His gifts. Lord Jesus promised us the Helper. “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” (John 14:26). Jesus’ prayer is that we remain in His teaching and to be set apart and sanctified in His Word of truth (John 17:12-17). Jesus’ prayer is also for those who will believe in Him though the disciples teaching. (John 17:20-21).
Jesus cares for the unchurched. “If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying?” And if he should find it. Assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.” (Matthew 18:10-14)
It is important that we remain Biblical. God’s word was written that we would come to faith in Jesus Christ, God’s Son. “but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.” (John 20:31) Jesus taught that God’s Word “cannot be broken”. (John 10:35) St. Paul teaches that we are not to follow mere men, but that we be joined together in the same mind and the same judgement. (1Corinthians 1:10-13) Our confessions state that God’s Word is the sole rule, norm, and judge of all teachers and that Scripture interprets Scripture.
Because there are divisions and schisms in the churches it is important in our discipleship and evangelism ministry that we remain confessional to maintain unity. “How good and pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments.” (Psalm 133:1-2) St. Paul urges us to avoid those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned. (Romans 16:17, 1 Cor 12:25, Jude 1:16-19)
